Water for Life
Water is quintessential for life, and yet, more than 30% of people around the globe cannot access safe drinking water and over 40% lack proper sanitation. These factors lead to increasing disease and premature deaths. In sub Saharan Africa and parts of Asia women walk for miles to get access to poor quality water for their families.
Africa faces huge challenges that adversely affect public health. One major challenge is the ability to access the clean drinking water. 115 people in Africa die every hour from diseases linked to poor sanitation, poor hygiene and contaminated water.
Majlis Ansarullah UK is committed to develop innovative approach to provide safe and clean drinking water to most vulnerable people of the sub Saharan countries. In recent years Charity Walk for Peace organised by Majlis Ansarullah has raised more than £70.000 to support Water for Life projects in the various parts of Africa to help tens of thousands people to have access to clean drinking water.
