Terms & Conditions governing applications for BoP Grant Funding:
- Applicants must:
a. Be a charity registered in England, Wales or Scotland, school or non-registrable charitable groups in England, Wales or Scotland serving the local community and provide satisfactory evidence of the same;
b. Have and continue to fully comply with the applicable rules of the relevant regulatory bodies; - Funds shall be collected via JUSTGIVING® page(s) created using the following link https://www.justgiving.com/cw-fp, or using the event pages (i.e. for the National Charity Walk 2024 it is Beacon of Peace Charity Walk Tilford 2024 – JustGiving) clearly mentioning your charity name on your fundraising page.
- To qualify for Grant Funding, applicants must fundraise through the BoP platform as above. Funds raised by a charity/applicant using the BoP platform shall be donated back to the charity/applicant without any deductions. In addition, BoP shall endeavour to donate additional funds (“Grant Funding”), which is at the sole discretion of the BoP executive committee.
- Applicants are required to have a minimum of 10 registered participants at the Beacon of Peace event; the applicant should ensure that it includes Beacon of Peace on their website and on other marketing and promotion channels.
- Applicants shall make their application for Grant Funding through the BoP Partner programme application form in compliance with these terms. The approval and any donation of Grant Funding shall be at the sole discretion of BoP.
- BoP shall be entitled to audit the Applicant’s use of the Grant Funding in the performance of its obligations under these terms. The Applicant shall promptly and at its own cost provide copies of all documents and information necessary for an audit of the use of Grant Funding to be conducted.
- Applicants shall promote the relevant BoP event including by publicising it on their websites, social and other media networks.
- Applicants shall endeavour, along with members of their organisation to attend the relevant BoP events.
- Approval of an application for Grant Funding is subject to:
a. The sole discretion of the BoP Executive Committee; and
b. Written confirmation from the BoP. - If the BoP terms are not complied with, BoP shall be entitled to refuse payment of Grant Funding or reclaim previously paid Grant Funding.
- Applicants must request to participate in a BoP walk or any other BoP event using the online registration process.
- The last date for receipt by BoP Grant Funding application form shall be as set out on the BoP website.
- BoP shall be entitled to use the applicant’s logo and report to publicise BoP schemes without any payment or royalty for the use of such logo.
- The Grant Funding shall be paid to the beneficiary name provided at the time of Application. Any request to change the charity name or beneficiary name will not be accepted.

1. Applicants must:
a. be a charity registered in England, Wales or Scotland, school or non-registrable charitable groups in England, Wales or Scotland serving the local community and provide satisfactory evidence of the same;
b. have fully complied with the applicable rules applied by relevant regulatory bodies; and
c. Utilise Grant Funds solely for the restricted use of an approved charitable project which must be detailed and evidenced as part of its application “Approved Grant Project”).
- Funds shall be collected on an official “Charity Walk for Peace” sponsorship form or via JUSTGIVING® page(s) created using the following link https://www.justgiving.com/cw- fp clearly mentioning your charity name on your fundraising page.
- To qualify for grant funding applicants must raise some money through the CWFP platform. Funds raised by a charity/applicant using the CWFP platform shall be donated back to the charity/applicant without any deductions. In addition to the 100% return of collected funds CWFP shall endeavour to donate funds to the charity, depending on the original fund collected by the Charity/applicant, Funds donated by CWFP are at the discretion of the CWFP executive committee.
- In addition to Point 3, applicants are required to have a minimum of 10 participants at the National Charity Walk for Peace; ensure the applicant included Charity Walk for Peace on their website and on other awareness materials.
- Applicants shall make their application for Grant Funds through the CWFP Affiliate Application Programme in compliance with its terms, which can be found
at https://beaconofpeace.org/grant-funding The approval of Grant Funds is shall be at the sole discretion of CWFP.
- If approved for Grant Funds, Applicants shall:
a. Utilise Grant Funds specifically for the Approved Grant Project within 6 months of receipt; and
b. provide CWFP with a quarterly report of how and where Grant Funds have been used.
- CWFP shall be entitled to audit the Applicant’s use of the Grant Funds in the performance of its obligations under the CWFP terms. The Applicant shall promptly and at its own cost provide copies of all documents and information necessary for an audit of the use of Grant Fund to be conducted.
- Applicants shall promote the CWFP charity walk including by publicising it on their websites, social and other media networks.
- Applicants shall endeavour, along with members of their organisation, to attend CWFP charity walks; pre CWFP events; and events in general.
- Approval of an application for Grant Funds is subject to:
a. The sole discretion of the CWFP Executive Committee in accordance with its then current grant making policies; and
b. the issue of a CWFP letter or an official email of confirmation weather manually or via the CWFP Affiliate Portal
- If the CWFP terms are not complied with in their entirety, CWFP shall be entitled to refuse payment of Grant Funds or reclaim previously paid Grant Funds.
- Applicants must request to participate in a CWFP walk or any other CWFP event using the online registration process.
- The last date for receipt by CWFP Grant Funds application form shall be as set out on the CWFP website.

GRANT FUNDS – T&C’s
Terms and Conditions to become a beneficiary of CWFP Grant Funds
- Applicants must: (i) be a charity, school or non-registrable charitable groups serving the local community. (ii) have fully complied with the relevant regulatory bodies.
- To receive the full benefit of Grant Funds, applicants shall ensure that: (i) a minimum of 10 walkers participate in the Charity Walk (“Walk”); and (ii) they promote the Walk including by publicising it on their websites, social and other media networks.
- Approval of a beneficiary is subject to: (i) the sole discretion of the Charity Walk for Peace (“CWFP”) Central Executive Committee in accordance with its then current grant making policies; (ii) the issue of a CWFP letter or official email of confirmation; and (iii) the applicant’s compliance with these terms and conditions.
- Claims for Grant Funding can be affected if the requirements are not fulfilled.
- Charities/Beneficiaries must register their walkers using the online registration process.
- The Charity/Beneficiary must register on the CWFP Affiliate Programme and, upon approval, must apply online for Grant Funds.
- Charities/Beneficiaries will be considered for Grant Funds only if they can show the organisation is independently registered as a charity/not for profit organisation.
- If approved for Grant Funds, the applicant is expected to: (i) use the Funds for charitable purposes within 6 months of receipt; and (ii) within 30 days of such expenditure provide CWFP with a report of how and where such Funds have been used.
- The last date for receipt by CWFP Grant Funds application form is 15th September 2021.
- CWFP shall be entitled to use the applicant’s logo and report to publicise CWFP schemes.
- The distribution of funds to approved charities is at the sole discretion of CWFP.
- The Grant Funds shall be paid by Bank Cheque made payable to the beneficiary name at the time of Application. Any request to change the charity name or beneficiary name will not be accepted.
- Applications are considered as a first come, first served basis.
- A cheque for the Grant Funds shall be presented before 31st December 2021 during a cheque presentation ceremony.
