The Honeypot Children’s Charity
On Sunday 14th 2017, the Honeypot Children’s Charity participated in a Charity Walk for Peace in Newham organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association.
Over 3,000 people joined in for the occasion as AMEA, Honeypot and a wide array of charities walked together on a beautiful sunny day as walkers took in stunning views of the Thames along the 5 mile route.
The walk was a resounding success. Our fundraisers did an amazing job of informing people about the Charity Walk and getting sponsored by all their friends and family – over £4,000 has been raised for Honeypot so far, and a further £2,000 will be generously match-funded by the AMEA! The money raised will cover both a respite break for 12 young carers and a Playbus visit in their local community – well done to our fundraisers, and thank you so much to everyone who donated.
Thank you to the AMEA for their superb organisation, their warm hospitality and their generosity, and a special thank you to all our walkers for Honeypot.
