Management of Abbotsbury Primary School has shown a keen interest after Charity Walk For Peace (CWFP) Mordan region arranged a sitting with the Headteacher and staff. School management was very pleased with the work CWFP is doing to support local charities and especially schools as there is always funds needed to buy pieces of equipment and to offer different services in the school.
A Charity Walk for Peace has been arranged at school’s Fun Day to make people aware of the work done by CWFP and to raise funds for the school. A food stall was also offered to set up in addition to the walk that was happily accepted by the school’s management. Since then the school staff was very happy and excited about the whole program.
A week before the walk another meeting was organised with deputy headteacher along with the regional chairman CWFP to finalise the program and route for the walk. The walk was advertised through school’s newsletter and posters along with the Fun Day event announcements.
The walk started at 12:30 with the brief introduction about CWFP. Children were very excited about the walk and despite the warm weather, some decided to run and completed a couple of laps. Parents extremely enjoyed and appreciated the idea of supporting the school by the CWFP.
