The Charity Walk for Peace Charity Reception Dinner was held on Sunday March 29th 2018 in Dewsbury St John’s C.E(C) Infant School to a packed hall of charity representatives, community groups and dignitaries.

Attending guests came to support the upcoming Charity Walk for Peace being held on Sunday April 29th 2018 in the Windsor Great Park in association with Runnymede Borough Council.

The Dinner provided an opportunity for participants to meet the organisers and sponsors of the annual Charity Walk for Peace and with the objective of introducing them to this year’s National Walk, its aims and objectives, and its fundraising efforts throughout the previous year.

The Deputy Chairman of the Charity Walk for Peace, Mr. Rafi Ahmad stated the following:

“I am so grateful to you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend this evenings Charity Reception. We are so fortunate that today across the entire UK, charity receptions are being held with the objective of raising the much needed £1,000,000 for UK charities in 2018. With your support, we are confident that this year’s Charity Walk for Peace will be the best one yet, so let us work together towards the one million target.”

Deputy Lord Lieutenant West Yorkshire, Mr David Dinmore stated the following:

“What a splendid evening we had with you and your Ahmadiyya colleagues at St John’s School yesterday. It was so uplifting to hear of the wonderful work that you all do in promoting peace and inter-community co-operation not only in the UK but also across the world. The gratitude expressed by the many recipients of funds raised through your activities were a great tribute to your work.”

The media coordinator, Fatihul-Haq from Huddersfield stated the following:

The representative of diverse sector of community and religious heads appreciated the impact of all the charity work been done by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association. Many commented on the positive and dynamic impact this work was happening in facilitating the charities work. It outlines Islam true and pristine teachings of servitude to mankind. Every act of goodness is charity as outlined by the Holy Founder of Islam, Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Fatihul-Haq, spokesperson for Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Huddersfield stated that helping our fellow beings, whether it’s by putting a smile on their face, raising funds or assisting people is the true and pristine teaching of Islam and that the communities motto of Love for Allah, Hatred for None was hallmark of one fulfilling their obligations in serving mankind.
